Precision Garage Door Warranty
Our slogan is “We Fix Garage Doors Right.”™ This singular focus has led us to pioneer the industry standard warranty for garage door repair. However, our goal is that you’ll never need to use that warranty.
Every one of our technicians goes through comprehensive training programs that go above and beyond typical industry norms. Because of our skilled technicians and commitment to only using the best quality parts, we can easily back up our work with a warranty that will protect you for as long as you own your garage door.
What’s Covered?
For installation of a new garage door, this warranty covers defects in workmanship, for labor furnished by the Precision Garage Door Franchisee as a part of installing the new garage door for the term indicated by the “Warranty Options” section on the front page of the invoice from the date of installation. The garage door manufacturer provides its own separate warranty to you for the door and its parts. This warranty does NOT cover the door or its parts. The Precision Garage Door Franchisee will correct any defective workmanship and, if a part is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, he/she will repair or replace that defective part, at no charge for labor, or parts if indicated, for the term indicated by the “Warranty Options” section on the front page of the invoice from the date of installation. Service charge may apply.
Please note: If the “Warranty Options” section on the front page of the invoice is left blank, the warranty defaults to a 90 day warranty period.
For a complete overhaul repair to an existing garage door, this warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship, including installation, for new and rebuilt parts furnished by the Precision Garage Door Franchisee as a part of the repair. The Precision Garage Door Franchisee will repair or, if repair is not possible, will replace any defective part or workmanship at no charge for materials. Refer to the term indicated by the “Warranty Options” section on the front page of the invoice. A service charge may apply.
What’s Not Covered?
If anyone other than the authorized Precision Garage Door Franchisee who performed the original service works on any new or repaired part covered by this warranty, then that part and the labor to repair or replace that part is no longer covered under this warranty. For new garage door installations, see the manufacturer’s warranty for what is not covered under its warranty.
This warranty does not cover any materials or workmanship provided by anyone other than the authorized Precision Garage Door Franchisee issuing this warranty. This warranty does not cover consequential or incidental damages, such as damage or injury to a person or property because a garage door did not operate properly. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty does not cover doors in which the door cables are displaced, misaligned, or disconnected. This warranty does not cover problems caused by abuse, misuse, civil disturbance, or Acts of God and does not cover commercial door installation or repair.
How Long Coverage Lasts
This warranty begins when any repairs or installations are completed. This warranty cannot be transferred. For repairs to an existing garage door, the warranty continues for as long as the original customer owns the repaired garage door. The warranty terminates if the original customer sells or no longer owns the repaired or new garage door. For a new garage door installation and a complete overhaul repair, the labor warranty is for the term indicated by the “Warranty Options” section on the front page of the invoice from the date of installation or repair.
Partial Service Warranty
If this option is selected, the terms are consistent with the terms of the Limited Warranty, but lasting only for a 90-day period beginning on the date of service completion.
How State Law Applies
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights that vary from state to state.
Your invoice is your receipt and must be presented before warranty work will be provided. It is not the responsibility of the Precision Garage Door Franchisee to provide proof of warranty.
